More downs than up.. in more ways than one!  An extended chill in New England really weakend my spirits along with some temporary weight increases.  Looking at the chart at least shows progress, though admittadly not quite as much as I would have liked.

Today like most other days I was exhausted after work.  I just wanted to get home and take a nap.  Fortunately on the way home I needed to run a few errands, which brought me very close to one of my regular trail heads.  So, I forced myself to just stop an walk for a little while.  Well, once I started moving I felt invigorated and did my full hour-long walk and when I got home I still had enough energy to knock some household chores out of the way!

Okay, I can take the hint.. actually it’s more like a jab on the side with a stick.  I certainly have had a few non-diet days this week, sometimes it’s just very difficult to resist.. no I take that back.. it’s very easy to resist, the trouble is REMEMBERING to resist!

So less then perfect eating habits this week combined with a little less outdoor activity due to weather and here I sit with yet another pound on me.  The good news is not all was lost and I’m still 3 pounds lighter from the day I started and as my mentor Daisaku Ikeda has said so often, “We begin each day a new!”
