Ahh.. some progress. My LiveHealthyAmerica.orgdashboard shows a 1.98% weight loss during my first week which is right on par with my team. I just wish I could say my health was on par with them as well, but that’s okay. I’m seeing and feeling the progress finally. Being the first time I’ve really set my mind towards fitness I have now learned that the first week is the most difficult hurdle.. very much like it was when I chose to quit smoking. Apparantly 1-week is a psychological hurdle for most.
Through my travels on the ether I’ve met a few others that are on a similar quest towards a healthier self. Most recent one being Jay Martinez who frequents the twitter and utterz circuit as well as maintains his own blog titled My Cup Runneth Over!
No matter what program you think is right for you, a key ingredient is to find other people that have similar goals and beginning at a similar level to share encouragement and motivation.
I’ve mentioned before that one of my determinations for 2008 was raising the bar and turning everything up a notch and my health is no exception.
It’s not a secret that I stand to shed a few dozen pounds, and an important step is to be motivated. LiveHealthyAmerica.commakes it easy to build a team of like minded partners that can help motivate, share tips and offer encouragement.

You’ll notice on the top left corner of this page a little widget that links to our virtually live broadcast. For those of you that haven’t noticed yet.. are there any? We’ve teamed up with uStream.tv to put on a live streaming broadcast. Our show schedule is still a bit sketchy as we iron out a few technical glitches, but our Live Page will have the latest programming information. Keep the link handy, you never know what you’ll catch me doing!
Also don’t forget our webcam page, this is a traditional low-bandwidth webcam that snaps random images at random times of whatever the camera happens to be aiming.
Like just about everyone who’s put up any type of web content, I too have been lured into looking at companies that promise you a way to make money with your site. Believe me, I’ve look at many and as most of you can imagine most programs are either geared towards the mega sites with daily clicks into the tens of thousands, require you to “buy in” to a program or simply vanish before every paying.
I promised myself long ago that I would no longer bite at these offers, but I noticed a very reputable blogger started posting the occasional sponsored ad and thought I’d just look into it. I signed up for the program and waited…. and waited… and waited. Hmm.. no response, I began to have my doubts but thought I’d give their support folks a shot. Wow.. a nearly immediate reply!!! Any company can provide a service, but one that can take care of things efficiently when something goes wrong… now that impresses me!!! Sure enough, a small technical web-related snag delayed my submission and now my site was approved and I was ready to be a posite!
I still didn’t get my hopes up.. so I posted a modest entry for them and waited. Next thing I knew there’s a deposit from them in my PayPal account!!! Wow!!! Hey mom, this works!!!
Those that know me are very familiar with my skepticism. It takes quite a bit for me to be impressed with something and even more to go as far as recommend it to my friends. But I can say without a doubt that if you are looking to monetize your website, PayPerPost is certainly worthy of your attention.
It never fails, whenever I thik I’m on to somthing I’m a day late and a dollar short. I got myself all excited after I posted this thinking I was on to something, but a quick google search shows it’s been done.
But still I have to ask, if it’s so abundant on the net.. why doesn’t Pizza Hut open at 6 a.m. and serve this stuff? I know I’d be there! It’s like the perfect car-food!
Oh well.. there’s always my idea for Pepperoni Pizza Bites, where instead of using dough for the crust you actually use a large burt crispy pepperoni and pile toppings on top of that. I think that would outsell muffin tops! Any investors?
